Ifresh Partner with a Local Boutique Coffee Roaster
As a business built from humble beginnings, we are all about giving back and helping other local businesses to succeed, which includes our Barista Blend and Café Series coffee beans.
CG Roasters is our contracting roasting facility – a boutique roaster operating out of Sydney for the past 10 years.
We think it’s important to educate our customers on where some of our products come from, so we’ve pulled together a video that takes you for an exclusive look at CG Roasters, a look at the roasting process and how green beans make their way from the fields to your cup.
Joseph Carlucci, at CG Roasters, said that he has grown up with coffee, coming from an Italian background, but is proud to now be creating high quality coffee here in Australia.
“Coming from that Italian background, I got into it really early. It has always been part of my day-to-day life.
In Australia, our understanding and appreciation for coffee has really skyrocketed, in these last 10-17 years in particular.
“I believe that we are leaders in the world for coffee and our appreciation for it, but also the artistry behind it all, with the level of baristas in cafes and the equipment used at home, businesses and offices.
“We have taken it to a whole other level.”
Mr Carlucci said that the Café Series blend is a slightly darker roasted coffee, ideal for milk-based coffee beverages.
“The Café Series has flavour profiles that cut through milk really, really well. There is a bit of a robust flavour included, but overall it provides a full-bodied taste.
“It’s also great as an espresso or long black.”
